Lewis & Clark Bridge Project
The Ohio River Bridges Project encompassed a variety of construction projects centered around the Louisville, KY metropolitan area. The completion of two new bridges and reconstruction of an interchange lead to a great deal of changes needed for the area. One of those was the construction of the East End Bridge, also known as the Lewis and Clark Bridge. This bridge connects the states of Indiana and Kentucky and spans across the Ohio River. This cable-stayed bridge was reopened to the public in December 2016.

Opportunitites for F&M Mafco
This bridge project opened up a great deal of opportunities for F&M MAFCO as we supplied more than heavy equipment such as cranes and hoists, we supplied a large amount of tools, rigging equipment, welding supplies, safety gear, and crane parts that were used throughout the length of the project. The heavy equipment operated on-site consisted of a Manitowoc 410 barge mounted ringer crane, AmCon 270 double drum diesel hoist, American 280 double drum diesel hoist, Timberland GP210 double drum diesel/hydraulic hoist, Gearmatic single drum hydraulic winch with diesel HPU and an American 180 double drum diesel hoist. This long list of equipment became a time saver for those on-site as they were able to use F&M as a one stop shop for their tool and equipment needs.
