Expanders are the preferred tube expander for expanding tubes in horizontal and vertical fire tube boilers or self- contained steam boiler units. Series 3300 expanders are recommended for any requirement for parallel expansion of tubes in tube sheets. Features – These tube expanders have a ball bearing to reduce friction to a minimum. Torque controlled rolling motors are recommended when using the 3300 series tube expanders to obtain uniform expanded joints. The collar on the 3300 series is regularly furnished standard for expanding tubes flush to the tube sheet or to bear against the tube end. Expanders are also available with a prong style 3300G Guard as shown on this page. It is necessary to specify the prong length when ordering 3300 series expanders with prong collars.
Are made with a long head for reaching through a header or water leg.
Are used in firetube boilers where there is limited space in the combustion chamber and the tubes must be rolled from the opposite end.
Come complete with 3 Expanding Rolls.
Are used in watertube boiler drums when the inside diameter of the drum is large enough to accept the mandrel and the tube expander’s drive motor. Drum Mandrels are also used when rolling tubes into firetube boilers.
Are used in watertube boilers when the drum or header is too small in diameter to accept the larger length drum mandrel.
