Port Mann Bridge - Cable Stay Bridge, Vancouver, British Columbia

Port Mann Bridge - Cable Stay Bridge, Vancouver, British Columbia

F&M MAFCO, Inc. supplied (2) S-30 American Derricks with 210 American Hoists that are being used on a sled to set edge girders, beams and concrete segments of the Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver, British Columbia. Material is lifted from ground level with a crane to a truck on the bridge deck, truck positions load at the edge of the bridge deck, S-30 unloads and places the components of the bridge. Stay cables are connected to the edge girders. Once the segment is complete, the derrick sled is jacked up and moved to sit on the newly finished segment and the process repeats.

The Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT) is the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope and the world's largest land-based movable structure. It is part of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) site at Green Bank, West Virginia, USA. The telescope honors the name of the late Senator Robert C. Byrd.

Hoover Dam Bypass Project

Hoover Dam Bypass Project

Leading construction supply and equipment company F&M MAFCO, Inc., known internationally as "The Powerful Solutions People" , played a major role in the construction of the Colorado River Bridge.

In September of 2006, construction was temporarily halted after the collapse of the cableway system. The cableway system is a critical part of the bridge construction project as it facilitates the delivery of construction materials across the entire canyon, a span of almost 2500 feet.
